Viktor&Rolf Return to the Paris Haute Couture Calendar

April 22, 2013

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The Viktor&Rolf house has been listed as a Correspondent Member in the Haute Couture schedule, following its election during the meeting of the supervisory board of the Chambre syndicale de la Haute Couture, on April 22nd, 2013. This July, the house will be returning to the Paris Haute Couture schedule after a 13-year absence.
Between Spring/Summer 1998 and Fall/Winter 2000, Viktor&Rolf showed five couture collections, including the Atomic Bomb collection, featuring dramatic mushroom cloud-like cushioned necklines. For Russion Doll, the designers dressed model Maggie Rizer in 10 layers of clothes in a show that merged fashion with performance art.

Viktor&Rolf have staged their signature collections at spectacular shows in Paris for twenty years while their fashion label has grown worldwide. Grounded in Womenswear since their first couture collection in Spring/Summer 1998, Viktor&Rolf have an unconventional approach to craftsmanship always playing with scale and proportion.
